Who else might you need?

THE PRACTICAL – WHO ELSE MIGHT YOU NEED IN YOUR LIFE

There are a lot of other people who should or could be involved in your life when you are transitioning from one home to the next.

From the housework, to the garden, to your meals and other life choices.

INSURANCE

From house and contents, car, boat (all the toys), pet, your health, business etc, when you make any changes remember to update your insurance. When you are moving home it is usually recommended that you insure your new home once you have an unconditional contract. At least get a cover note until you have finished with the move.

GARDEN

Sometimes our reason to move can be because our garden has grown too large and it gets out of our control quickly. Before you make the BIG decision to move house, and if finances allow, get a gardener in on a regular basis. You won’t believe the relief from stress that this brings. Perhaps you could also see what assistance your council provides as well.

HOUSE

As with our garden, our house, maintenance and contents, can sometimes get out of control. As with my suggestion about gardening, and if your finances allow, employ a cleaner until it gets back under control, see what assistance the local council may provide and each day, declutter ONE thing. Don’t look at the mountain top, start with one step each day.

PETS

The companionship of a pet can never be underestimated. Maybe not a kitten or puppy but an older animal that, through no fault of its own, has been surrendered to an animal welfare place. Young creatures are time-consuming but an adult dog or cat will usually appreciate being rescued and will welcome whatever attention you give it.
